REPAIR & RESTORATION

The cost of repairing a damaged ceramic or porcelain collectible, art object or antique depends very much on the nature and extent of the damages, such as:

How many breaks, chips and/or cracks does the figurine have?
How many breaks, chips and/or cracks does the figurine have?
Are there any pieces missing which need to be replaced?
How much of an area is affected by the repair and needs to be repainted?
What repair techniques and materials can be used to repair it?
How many shades of colors must be matched?

These are just a few of the variables encountered during the repair of a damaged porcelain or ceramic piece and since this type of work is inherently difficult, tedious and time consuming all repairs will be estimated on a case to case basis. Estimates are free of charge and without obligation to have any work done.

Simply send your damaged item(s) via insured UPS or US Parcel Mail to my business address. You'll receive a written estimate which will also include a work order form. The estimate will provide you with all details such as the repair cost, scope, time frame and the approximate value of the item(s) in question after repair.

Please note that I am unable to start any work unless you return the signed work order with your deposit / payment. (any type of credit cards, checks and/or money orders are accepted). The state-of-the-art restoration methods employed by me make it possible to repair most damaged figurines in a cost effective manner. I'll also recommend the most suitable options that make the most sense to repair your item(s).

However, in some cases it may happen that the repair cost exceeds the monetary value of the object and I will advise you in advance if that is the case. The final decision is always yours.

An average repair will take me about 3 - 4 hours, plus time for staging, prepping, firing, drying and other rest times. However, since I must introduce the items by type and in batches of 100 to 150 pieces at a time to the individual repair steps, it may take several weeks or months to complete a batch. This is the only viable way to bring the repair cost to an affordable level. An estimated delivery time is listed in your estimate but it does not imply exact delivery dates and times. Rush orders will incur extra charges. Explore my business terms.
